Poem: Just Words

~

 Just Words

Loving and Losing
Changes, beginnings
Sighing and crying,
Leaving and endings

Deceptions, forgiveness,
Lying, betraying,
Trusting, Not trusting
Not sleeping, still praying

Tossing and turning
 Hoping, despairing
 Confusions...Not knowing
 Illusions... still caring

Wondering and trying,
Wanting and waiting
 Sparring, and scarring,
 With constant berating

This poem is a serious one for you Junie...it runs the gambit of emotions and feelings we've all felt at one time or another. I like it. ~Joy

This poem is a different style than many of your others, Junie... and definitely a sad one. It's very well written, but it makes me worried for you... or perhaps someone else you care about. I hope you are okay.

It is a very emotional poem Junie and wonderfully written.
I'm with Skye - I hope things are ok for you and yours.
You are in my thoughts.

I'm fine-

The poem is just words that came together, thinking of life in general.

Of course, in a long life, most of us do experience most of these emotions , at some time.

Dear June ~~ I liked your poem very
much, but hope you are not having any problems to make you sad.
It was lovely to hear from you my friend. Thanks for your comments - I had been thinking of selling my home and entering a retirement village in a self contained unit. Smaller than a house. Was happy not to have any sign of Alzheimers and was advised to stay here. I had asked for the test. Still have some problems, but doing OK for now.
I hope both you and Charles are keeping well. Take care, my friend
Love, Merle.

Hi Merle,

Sorry- didn't mean to worry any of my friends here with the poem. It's not personal, (or at least not recent times)but of life in general. Seems like anything that touches us in life-stays with us and come back in memories, whether it's of our own life experiences or of ones we care about!

Merle, I was happy to know you are doing well, at least for now- and can keep your own place. I know you enjoy your home and having family visit you there!

Hugs))

June

Well, it is also nice to find another poet blogging in Ocala! I've just scrolled down through a number of your poems. Excellent work - you have a talent.

I enjoy writing poetry, but don't do much of it on a regular basis...so some of what you'll find on Creative Confections is material from a few years ago. Although I did post a new one the day before yesterday.

I'll be back. Keep writing!

Hello Jacob,

Thanks for visiting and for your nice comments about my poems.

Throughout my life I have written poems-mostly just for my own enjoyment. When someone else finds my poems interesting to read I consider that an added bonus! :) Thanks for reading some of them!

Like you, I don't write on a regular basis either...Sometimes it may be several months between my writing anything at all worth sharing.

I've read several of your poems and enjoyed them very much! I'll be back for more. :)

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the "Time" poem that serves as your header and the photo...both are very beautiful!

Jacob,

Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time to read some of my poems and that you find some of them 'interesting' at least!

My "Time" poem was one that came together quite easily. When that happens it's a good feeling. (As a writer, you know this, I'm sure)

I thought the old picture of me fit the mood of the poem, so I decided to present it in this way- I even lightened the photo.

That pic goes back a lot of years...I was early 30's in age!
( early to mid 1970's- not sure exactly)

Thanks!

June
