Poem: Fantasy and Reality

Fantasy and Reality
Where fantasy ends - reality begins.
Let me find that place and start anew.
When make believe dies and all hope ends,
let me accept the loss and make it through.
Life’s journeys will take us far and wide.
Uncharted roads can render blind...
and we are enticed down paths,
unknown...
regardless of what we leave behind.
With passing time this fantasy
reveals it’s face as false and trite,
lacking substance and lacking truth;
blurring lines of wrong and right.
Let me find a shred of the real me, still,
enough to build and restore again;
to recapture me as I was before.
Let me come full circle - in the end.

This is a very thought-provoking poem, Junie... and kind of sad. Reality can be a hard thing to accept and embrace sometimes.
