Well, I've never lived in a place where it did not snow in winter. After shoveling out the last three days, I can say that I don't relate at all to your nice little poem about WANTing to feel some on my nose.
(pauses to blow nose and go wash hands before touching keyboard again) ;)

While I'm here, I'll say that I remember the little carol books from going around the neighborhood singing. They were easy for a child's hands to hold, and the bright colors made them easy to keep track of.

:) Hi Diane,

LOL- so I got the wrong idea about this SNOW thing, eh?

I lived most of my life in South Florida so have no experience with winters with snow and ice. My sister lived 12 years in Pa. after she married and SHE certainly didn't like it !

....but it looks so pretty in pictures! :)

Oh-I just love those old song books. Am always looking for things like that to buy!

Hi june, having been born in Victoria in a part where it does snow, I can say it is very cold, I have felt flakes on my nose. Daylesford is not part of the sking area at all as the snow melts pretty quickly there.I still would like to live inside a real "white Christmas" landscape for a while at least. Loved your Santas and Carol books I have the red one.
Cheers Margaret

Hi Margaret,

I'm glad you enjoyed the little poem.

( I sometimes miss my comments on any except my main blog...guess I need to fix that-so I'm notified of new comments_ but I don't know how! :( )

Well- being one who LOVES Christmas as I do- the snowy scene has always intrigued me! The reality of it I'm sure, would be a lot different!

Your poem reminds me of the first time a snowflake hit my face and how it felt.
